The challenge
Valve & Flow Plumbing serves Austin and Round Rock. By Q4 2025 they were spending $4,200 a month on Google Ads because organic was not working.
Their site had 127 pages, most thin. Their Google Business Profile had 18 reviews at 4.2 stars, and NAP inconsistencies across 14 directories. They ranked page two for "emergency plumber austin" and nowhere for "water heater repair austin". Organic brought 61 calls per month. Ads were eating margin.
Our approach
Luis, the owner, wanted real traffic, not reports.
We put them on SEO Services Standard at $600 per month:
- technical audit plus on-page fixes for priority pages
- Local SEO: GBP optimization, citation cleanup, review velocity system
- monthly reporting tied to calls, not impressions
The thesis: fix the foundation, win the map pack, then expand content.
The execution
Month one was audit. AI crawl flagged 214 issues. We fixed 87 high priority items: broken internal links, duplicate titles, slow LCP on service pages, missing schema for LocalBusiness and Service.
We rewrote 12 service pages with actual Austin neighborhoods, added real before and after photos, and embedded a click-to-call CTA above the fold.
For Local SEO:
- Cleaned NAP across 32 citations using Whitespark
- Rebuilt GBP categories, services, and products
- Installed review request SMS flow. Techs send link after each job
By week six we had 47 new reviews. Average rating climbed to 4.8.
Results after 90 days
- Google Business Profile views up 217%, from 1,840 to 5,834
- Calls from search hit 184 in month three, up from 61
- 11 keywords in top 3, including "plumber austin", "emergency plumber austin", "water heater repair austin"
- Organic traffic up 94%, from 1,120 to 2,173 sessions
- Ad spend cut 38% because organic covered the gap
What Luis said
"I used to pay for every call. Now my phone rings from Google Maps and I didn't touch an ad. We went from 18 reviews to 73 in three months."
